The National Arts Council of South Africa (NAC) and the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) are pleased to announce the renewal of their partnership aimed at strengthening relations in the creative and cultural sectors of South Africa and China. The two organisations will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 5 September 2025 to formalise this commitment.
The MoU builds on the historic relationship between NAC and CFLAC, following an agreement first signed in July 2015 to promote arts and cultural exchange. This renewed partnership reaffirms both organisations’ commitment to fostering cooperation and creating opportunities for collaboration in the arts and culture sectors between China and South Africa.
As part of the MoU to be signed, key areas of collaboration will include promoting cultural exchange, facilitating opportunities for artists and joint initiatives in arts and academia.
