She has played several roles on television including scandal on eTV and DStv’s Igazi. Nkonyeni was also actively involved in the development and sustainability of the performing arts, helping to start the Outreach Theatre for Education Programme as well as in mentoring and educating young people in the arts. Her belief in education saw her through receiving her Master’s degree in Theatre for the Development from the King Alfred’s College in the United Kingdom in 2002.

Her mentoring and educating young people in the arts added a historical value which will be a tool to use and share with others. We at the National Arts Council send our deepest condolences to her family and friends, Rest in Peace, Veteran Nomhle Nkonyeni.
