SPECIAL FUNDING CALL ANNOUNCEMENT
FOR NAF FRINGE REGISTERED ARTISTS
MEDIA STATEMENT: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 22 MAY 2025
The National Arts Council of South Africa (NAC) is pleased to announce a special funding call for artists registered under the 2025 National Arts Festival “Fringe Programme”.
The call will open on Friday, 23 May 2025 and close on 30 May 2025. The outcomes of the call will be released on 16 June 2025. The aim of this special call is to support artists who will be showcasing their work at the 2025 National Arts Festival in Makhanda.
The National Arts Festival is South Africa’s largest and most influential multi-arts festival and serves as a critical platform for artistic expression, experimentation, and market access.
As the funding agency that is committed to fostering and developing the arts and culture sector, we appeal to National Arts Festival Fringe registered artists to utilise this opportunity by sending their funding applications to receive the much-needed support to assist them in showcasing their artistic work at this prestigious event.
