National Arts Council (NAC) Announces appointment of an Interim CEO

The National Arts Council of South Africa (NAC) wishes to announce the appointment of Ms N.T.M Mbina-Mthembu as its Interim CEO in the absence of Ms Julie Diphofa who has taken short-term medical leave.  Ms Mbina-Mthembu will be leading the institution during the critical period whereby the NAC is busy processing its annual call for funding applications which is adjudicated by independent advisory panel members.

Ms. Mbina-Mthembu has extensive experience in the public sector at a senior management level.

“We believe that a person of her calibre and skill comes at a crucial moment as we conclude the independent forensic investigation, dealing with the management and the distribution of the Presidential Employment Stimulus Package (PESP)”, says the NAC Chairperson, HRH Princess Celenhle Dlamini.

Council pledges its support during her short-term period.
Council also wishes the current Acting CEO, Ms Diphofa, a speedy recovery.
