The National Arts Council (NAC) is pleased to announce that on 18 December 2023 the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) issued its ruling in the NAC’s favour in the arbitration case that the former Council member and Interim CEO, Ms Marion Mbina-Mthembu, had brought against the NAC for alleged unfair dismissal.

After hearing evidence and considering submissions from the parties, the CCMA ruled that Ms Mbina-Mthembu failed to prove that she had been dismissed by the NAC.

The NAC is pleased with this ruling and now considers the matter closed.
