STATEMENT OF CONDOLENCES FOLLOWING RECENT FLOODS

The National Arts Council’s (NAC) shares its deepest condolences to the communities devastated by the inclement weather experienced over the past few days in regions of KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape.

The immense loss of life, livelihoods and prized possessions can never be truly replaced, and we share our heartfelt sympathies with all those affected in this difficult time.

We are deeply saddened by the overwhelming loss endured and are hopeful for a strong recovery from this crisis. May the spirit of Ubuntu engulf us all as we each do our part in whatever way we can to provide help and support. Together, we can rebuild and strengthen each other as we traverse this tragedy.
