NAC national project funding roadshows feedback

We headed out on our annual national project funding roadshows. The roadshows commenced Friday 28 February 2020 in KwaMhlanga, Mpumalanga. Deputy Chairperson Jabu Dlamini graced the launched alongside with Peter Tshabalala (Arts Development Officer for Capacity Building) and Thola Phetla (Marketing and Communications Manager).

The following destination was at the Northern Cape in Springbok, Bersig Town on 4 March 2020. Mr Ramatseba and Ms Monareng were workshopped in attending all the queries that needed more attention. 6 March 2020 we touched down at Moses Kotane Municipality, North West. Thato Mondamodi (ADO for Arts Organisation Support Funding) shared the enhanced strategy of the NAC to assist in aligning what we mean when we say we are funding for impact.

Limpopo was our last stop at Phalaborwa in Namagale Municipality. With a responsive audience it included two funded beneficiaries who shared their testimonials. Freddy and Refiloe expressed how the NAC funds has made a difference not only for them but the communities at large because the active programmes has made a great impact. With Limpopo being great the NAC also made stops at Bugersfort and Polokwane.

However, in accordance with the Presidential decree regarding gatherings of 100 + individuals, all roadshows were cancelled immediately based on the Covid-19.
