The Northern Cape Theatre in association with Amandla Dança Teatro ZA presents “Nomapondo” a dance musical that explores the life of a Chiwara (half-gemsbok, half-woman) who carries a secret within her and in the same breath has to solve the conflict between Earth’s natural elements that has caused a heavy drought.

Through self-acceptance, she breaks this curse by finding her true love Majola of the Mpondomise clan. Her land is saved by finding a delicate balance of life.
