Don’t miss the Mzansi Reggae Summer Festival – Against Gender-Based Violence on the 11 Dec 2021 @ Lebo’s Soweto Backpackers, Orlando West – Soweto.

Supported by DSAC (Social Cohesion Directorate), the event will take place in a form of sports activity in the morning with a soccer challenge amongst reggae musicians & selectors – as an attempt to be accountable and to distress the challenges of community violence, and to improve mental fitness and promote a healthy community.

The event will also include a live reggae music experience featuring various reggae artists, bands, selectors (DJs) & sound systems from different provinces. The lineup of the day will include a new genre of Afropop meets reggae through Maleh. Plus the SAMA 2021 nominees & the 2-time winner for the Best Reggae Album award 2020 & 2021, Bongo Riot will perform. Also included in the line-up are the South African Reggae living legends, Phuma Maduna & ToGata (Lucky Dube Band). Selectors will include Nicky B from Kaya FM and one of the co-hosts will be Ntsiki Mazwai.
