Overview

The “Amandla Music Against Discrimination” program provides a broad platform that transports us musically to different cultures. This event will use music to spread a message of love, peace, and harmony. AMANDLA, we are harnessing our might to combat racism and all forms of discrimination.

The event will take the shape of a virtual concert, with music played by migrant and refugee artists alongside German musicians.

The performances are pre-recorded in front of a small crowd. The event has been extended to artists in Gqeberha [Port Elizabeth, South Africa] as part of the initiative’s cultural exchange component.

Harambee Live, Cliff Barnes and The Fear of Winning (Germany), Ozan Tunc (Turkey), Visa Band (Syria), Nomabotwe and PoeticSoul (South Africa) are among the acts performing this year. This project is supported by The City of Osnabrück, through their kulturmarathon gemeinsam für Osnabrück program.
