The National Arts Council of SA Announces Results of 2015 Funding – R17 million in grants made to arts practitioners around South Africa
The National Arts Council (NAC) of South Africa has awarded grants of more than R17 million to 279 applicants from all of South Africa’s nine provinces.
The National Arts Council hereby announces the names of successful applicants for the international bursary and project funding session which closed on the 12 December 2014.
Please note that the closing date for NAC 2015 Funding Applications has passed.
The National Arts Council (NAC) has awarded 88 bursaries to arts students to further their studies in South Africa in 2015.
The successful candidates come from Gauteng, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, North West, Free State, KwaZulu Natal and Limpopo. Twenty candidates will be pursuing studies in the field of literature, 16 in theatre, 14 in visual arts, 11 in music, 10 in multi-discipline, nine in dance and eight in craft; the full list of bursaries awarded can be accessed below.

Thirteen of South Africa’s flagship arts organisations have received grants totalling over R9 million from the National Arts Council (NAC) for a series of high-profile projects which will roll out both nationally and provincially from 2014 to 2015 across all seven of its fields – craft, dance, literature, multi-discipline, music, theatre and visual arts.
