It is with great sadness to let you know of the passing of Veteran percussionist Gabriel Mabi Segwagwa Thobejane, who passed on the 3rd of June 2021.
Mabi was both master and a creator of South Africa’s indigenous sonic archive and was also a showman and a collaborator.
May his family find courage, strength and comfort to help them through this difficult time.
