Advertisement For A Specialist/Expert To Serve On The HRC For NAC In Terms Of The National Arts Council Act

In terms of Section 10 of the National Arts Council Act, as Amended, the Council is required to establish Human Resource Committee (HRC) as a sub-committee to the Council. The Human Resource Committee is established in terms of the aforementioned Act.

The mandate of the Human Resource Committee (HRC) of Council is to assist Council in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities by monitoring the management of human resources within the organisation and providing recommendations and advice on the organisation’s human resource management (HRM) strategies, initiatives and policies.

The National Arts Council hereby invites specialist/expert candidates to apply to serve in the Human Resource Committee as a member for the remainder of the 5-year term.

The successful candidate must have a specialist/expert knowledge of human resource strategies, policies and practices, and furthermore meet the following qualifying criteria:

  • the candidate must have completed a Degree in Human Resource, Industrial Psychology or equivalent and proven ten (10) years’ experience in managerial position or higher
  • Candidates must be registered with one of the recognised professional bodies in South Africa, for an example, SABPP.
  • Candidates must be South African citizen.

The closing date for applications is: 12h00; 15th June 2018. No late applications or CVs that are irrelevant to the requirements will be accepted.
