Bursaries

Under graduate studies

Undergraduate students studying nationally do not apply to the NAC directly. Block institutional grant is allocated to tertiary institution and Non Governmental Organizations which provide arts tuition according to guidelines and criteria provided by the NAC.

Postgraduate studies

Postgraduate students apply directly to the NAC for tuition fees.

Bursaries for undergraduate and post graduate studies abroad will be considered only if such a qualification is not provided in South Africa.

In all these instances the NAC will not be the sole funder.

Please note

The NAC is unlikely to fund the entire budget of the project. Quotations should be provided with the application form. You are also advised to refer to NAC’s general information guideline.
